Recent projects:

  • Washington County, Pennsylvania: Research to determine a decedent’s potential half-siblings and their descendants in Eastern Pennsylvania. The decedent died near Pittsburgh with a will, but both named beneficiaries predeceased him. The case was further complicated by the fact that the decedent’s mother remarried around the time the decedent was born, calling into question the decedent’s paternity. Thirteen beneficiaries were ultimately located, including two living half-sisters unaware of the decedent’s existence.

  • Northampton County, Pennsylvania: Documenting all living relatives for an only child who died intestate in Eastern Pennsylvania. Twelve beneficiaries were ultimately located, many in New England.

  • Queens County, New York: Working with an on-site Italian researcher to determine the descendants of the siblings of the decedent’s father, all of whom remained in Italy. Research is ongoing.

  • Gloucester County, New Jersey: Documenting information on three possible groups of beneficiaries of a decedent from New Jersey. The decedent’s mother, born in New Jersey, had two possible fathers - both Italian immigrants with complicated timeframes. Research is ongoing.
